Fishermen will appreciate the year-round fishing opportunities in this town. Most often you can catch the following sea fish – bream, redfish, zander, seabass, bream. The best time for cuttlefish is September to December, depending on the weather, the strength and size of the waves (the bigger the better). Fish can be caught throughout the day without any restrictions, including the summer season.
In the whole of Marina di Pisa up to the mouth of the Arno River, fishing is completely free. Outside this area, you need to buy a permit for €35.
